This is posted solely to express sorrow and point out accidents can unfortunately happen.
There are times I have been perceived as being mean. I will not give my opinion on if I thought that I was or not. I will be the first to admit, though, that I am offended when parents allow their children to get hurt . . . but that is under circumstances when the parents might (possibly) NOT have done everything in their power that they should have to protect their child.
In this case, based on what has been reported, the father shot his son. This is so, so, so sad. He will never forget this, he did not do it on purpose, and he was trying to do something right (teach his son how to use firearms and hunt).
Besides everything else that happened tragically with this family – they still remembered to allow their son’s organs to be used to help three other individuals who needed them.
My heart, so deeply, goes out to this family.
